KARACHI: Azizabad futsal team beat Karachi City futsal team by 7-4 in the opening match of the fourth Students Olympic Games 2020 which commenced here at the Mini Sports Complex, Nazimabad on Tuesday.
The weeklong Games will conclude on Nov 30 and the matches will be held from 6:30-09:30pm and includes competitions in futsal, throwball, rope skipping and archery.
In futsal event, as many as 35 teams are participating.
Aijazuddin, SSP Police District Central Traffics, Karachi was the chief guest at the opening ceremony.
Maqbool Arain, President Pakistan Students Olympic Association, Adnan Vohra, Vice President South Asia Throwball Federation, Jaffar Ali Shah, SVP PSOA, Saleem Ahmed, SVP PRSF, Shariq Siddiqui, Secretary, Pakistan Rope Skipping Federation and others were also present.
